 less than 4 weeks after his first birthday

He was also awarded Best Of Winners for his SECOND MAJOR in January!!

Handled by owner Judy Mack, Dozer is
co-owned by Jeffie Casey.

Desiree Acres Ichabod

Not to be outdone, "Diesel" takes     Best of Winners for his first point,
then goes on to place 2nd in the
Bred By Exhibitor Group.

Dexter also begins his career by taking Best of Winners at the Shoreline Show

Phoebe finished her championship with
3 majors AND recently won back to back majors towards her Grand Championship

is now taking Owner/Handler Linda
around the Specials ring


1 year old Snickers says:

Desiree Acres Snickers
placed in both her Sweepstakes and regular classes
at the BHCA Nationals in Washington state.
She recently took back to back 4 point major reserves

Is THE FIRST "SWEDE SUN" basset to become an  American Champion!!

Qarlie came to us from Sweden at the age of 3 months ~ the first basset ever imported to the United States from the world famous Swede Sun Kennels

She finished her championship before the age of 2,
with a very impressive show record (see below)
~always handled by Mary
All of her wins were in ultra-tough Southern California competition (it takes 14 bitches for a 3 point major)

In His Younger Days . . .

Foster finished his championship at 10 months of age by going WD/BOS at the BHCSC Specialty over 68 other bassets. He finished with two 5 point Majors and one
 4 point major, all from the bbx class
Foster went on to win multiple Best of Breed, Best Opposite & Sweepstakes wins, and was rated
#6 Top Winning Basset  and
 #1 Specialty Winner in 2005
~always handled by Mary
In 2005 Foster was awarded BEST IN SHOW Valle Del Sol Basset Hound Club
 AND The Basset Hound Club of Southern California Specialties

Foster wasn't the only member of his incredible litter who was successful in
the show ring (our competitors refer to us as the "Red Menace")

Scout finished  with a
5 point Specialty win of her own
(over an entry of 30 from the puppy class)
as well as a SECOND 5 point major
under  Enrique Fillippini from Argentina.

CHAMPION Desiree Acres Sunbeamer


Sunny finished just 12 days after Scout,
with 3 majors (including a 4 point major), 
Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex wins.

All of these littermates finished before the age of 18 months, and all handled by Mary!!

Minnie finished with

 WB at the BHCSC Specialty,
and WB/BOW at the Valle Del Sol BHC Specialty




Minnie is shown winning Best of Winners over 48 bassets.
Not only was this the wettest day in California that year, but it was MINNIE'S VERY FIRST SHOW!!

 CHAMPION English Rose V Hollandheim (Ziggy)        
We have long admired Carla Gerber's Hollandheim dogs in Holland, (and more recently France) having fallen in love with the photos of her dogs on her web site.
Our particular favorite was her top producing bitch
Ch. Karipat Ziggi Zig

In 2002 a dream became a reality when we were able to import one of her beautiful daughters.
We call our girl "Ziggy" in honor of her mother

Ziggy finished her US championship in 2004, exclusively handled by Mary.
Ziggy is the mother of Desiree Acres Razberi Zinger
